What’s the deal with Evaluation Surveys?

Author: Kelly Worthington

We take our commitment to provide effective services seriously and ask participants to provide insight and feedback on how we can do our work better. We will request evaluation input after every event. We are grateful for your participation!

The following comments were submitted after our recent webinar survey. They are  insightful, help us get to know you, and will be used to inform future work.

  • Participants reported several data governance challenges, including collecting data to measure outcomes beyond compliance. States are working to integrate multiple data sources and SLDS but face difficulties coordinating processes across agencies and connecting to postsecondary and workforce data.
  • Additional challenges include complex EDPass submissions, reliance on DaSy tools, transitioning to new data systems, and establishing governance when IT and data ownership are housed in separate departments.
  • Greatest challenges with data integration: Participants identified differences in departmental workflows, integrating multiple data systems, and lack of shared data ownership as the primary challenges to effective data integration.

Participants also requested future webinars on implementing and using Generate, introductory guidance on CEDS/Generate, and strategies for aligning and improving data quality across SPP/APR reporting, public reporting, and state determinations.
